THE CARD ACT IN PERSPECTIVE: ONGOING EFFORTS TO FIND BALANCE IN CREDIT CARD REGULATION

Abstract


The CARD Act is the most important development in credit card regulation in decades. Because it will have a significant impact on the financial affairs of the American public, it is important to consider the ramifications of this legislation. With that in mind, the Articles of this Symposium make a meaningful contribution to dialogue about the CARD Act and how society should regulate credit cards going forward.
