Tablets over Chalkboards
Abstract
I am a teaching assistant and graduate instructor for the mathematics department at the University of Utah. This past semester, I had the opportunity to teach online. Through this, I was exposed to technology that most of our department does not use. Most, if not all, of the instructors in our department teach using chalkboards. This talk emphasizes the advantages of using a Wacom tablet to teach math courses. I feel that this technology is underutilized, and could have an enormous impact on mathematical education at our university.Keywords
